When I was asked to record this CD by the label. I was asked to write a Rock record that could be used to reach non-Christians as well as Christians. I tried. The lyrics that were clearly coming out of me were very different. They were consistantly about Spiritual battles and how Jesus is the only way. Using metaphors I was able to turn a very deep subject into something that anyone could relate to. There are songs about grace, his glory and majesty, but most of the under tones are spiritual battle. The worship songs on the record are used to reflect on who Jesus is to us as man kind, the Armored Savior! The second song and the last song are strong points I wanted to make on this record. “This is the Revolution,” is the theme song of this new time in our history. Jesus gave up his seat at the throne to die for us, and he has called us to fight for his love. We have been distracted by satan and the things of this world for to long, it’s time for change. “Even the Enemy Believes,” although the typical last song of the record artsy song. It has a distinct message, is the Legacy your leaving for your family and friends the one you want to leave. We were created in God’s image, live like Jesus did.
My heart is to lead a church body in to passionate heart felt worship. What God has done in my life and as Jesus continues to challenge me, I am constantly in prayer reguarding worship. What has God called us to do, to praise his name. A song should be singing in our hearts constantly through the week. That church and worship time is not just sunday morning but a lifestyle.
